The study of the effectiveness of compensation measures for reconstruction: lesson–
learn from Japan. The case study of local government in Kumamoto Prefecture and Chiang Rai
Province is to study the effectiveness of compensation measures for rehabilitation for affected
people from the earthquake in Kumamoto Prefecture. It is also to present the results of the
study of measures for compensation to affected people from the earthquake in Kumamoto
Prefecture to the Thai government or related agencies. By bringing the results of the study that
were compared with the case of Thailand and then to find a summary that will lead to the
improvement of compensation measures for rehabilitation of affected people from the
earthquake in Thailand to be more effective, flexible and suitable for many situations.
